The Ten Thousand Skies app does not collect, sell, or share your personal data. It is designed to work entirely on your iPad. This website uses limited, aggregate analytics as described below.

In the app
Ten Thousand Skies has no accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking, third-party software development kits, or network services. The app does not send your activity, chosen destinations, or settings to us.
Location
If you grant location permission, your device location is used only on your iPad to show the sky above you. Your location stays on your iPad; we neither receive nor store it. Location permission is optional. You can choose places manually and use the rest of the app without granting access.
Saved destinations and preferences
Destinations you save and preferences you choose are stored locally on your device. You can remove saved destinations and reset preferences from the app. Depending on your Apple backup settings, locally stored app data may be included in a device backup managed by Apple and your settings.
This website
Website analytics are separate from the offline Ten Thousand Skies app. The production website uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate visits to its public pages. It is cookie-less and places nothing in your browser for analytics. That means there is no cookie prompt to dismiss, no persistent browser identifier, and no cookie-based tracking between visits.
Vercel may process the time of a visit, the public page path without URL query strings or fragments, the referring website or page, approximate location, and general browser, operating-system, and device categories. Vercel derives a temporary visitor hash from the incoming request and discards it after 24 hours. We receive aggregated reports rather than personal profiles or raw IP addresses.
We use this information only to determine whether the site and its public pages are being visited. We do not use it to identify who is visiting. We do not send custom analytics events. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the website suppresses Vercel Web Analytics page views. Analytics are also disabled on local and preview deployments.
